The Veil and Quebec

Apparently, the traditionally Catholic province of Quebec finally got upset with all the nuns who receive government services in their habits. They seem to have decided that they have accomodated religion too much, and considered regulations against religious head coverings while receiving government services.  Incidently, this same prohibition also would have applied to Muslims, who would not have been able to perform or receive government services while wearing the niqab or burka (which covers the face except for the eyes) or the hijab (the head scarf). Muslim have to be thankful they did not get caught up, this time, in the country's attitudes towards Catholic nuns.
